Advanced Digital Technology

Dentistry has come a long way over the years. Patient comfort levels are increasing exponentially, right along with the technology that helps us get the job done. If you haven’t been to the dentist in a few years, you might be surprised how different the experience is today. At Smiles of Orange, we invest in advanced digital technology that improves safety, enhances diagnostics, and puts our patients at ease.

Experience the difference for yourself.

We truly believe we can change the way you feel about going to the dentist. Don’t believe us? Come on in and see for yourself!

Digital X-rays

We think digital x-rays are one of the greatest things since sliced bread! Not only does going digital reduce your exposure to radiation by up to 90%, digital x-rays are easily taken in a matter of seconds right from the dental chair. Then, they can be pulled up on the screen almost instantly, so we can discuss any potential problems or treatment needs—or, let you know everything is looking great! Digital x-rays are also more accurate for earlier diagnosis of disease and decay.

Intraoral Cameras

We used to rely on x-rays and eyesight alone to detect and diagnose dental problems, with the help of a dental mirror to peer around corners. Today, we’re thankful for intraoral cameras that give us high-definition, real-time video images that can be significantly magnified. This allows us to detect disease and decay sooner, catching small problems before they progress. And you can have peace of mind knowing we won’t miss a thing.

Laser Dentistry

Lasers are one of the most exciting recent advancements in medical and dental technology, and we’re thrilled to be on the cutting edge of this technology to provide the best possible care for our patients. To go a step further than intraoral cameras can, we use lasers to detect and diagnose the severity of cavities. We also use our laser to perform gingivectomies for patients with gum disease or patients who need crown lengthening for restorative purposes or gum contouring for aesthetics.

Homecare Products

As much as you would like to leave your oral health up to fate, or in the hands of Dr. Jackson and our team, the truth is, it’s largely up to you. But never fear, we’re on your side to help you defend disease and decay every step of the way. If you’re interested in some professionally-recommended products from your Orange dentist, we would be happy to let you know what we think will work best for your individual needs. We carry some of your favorite brands including Oral-B®, Sensodyne®, Colgate®, and GUM® Proxabrushes.

Advanced technology = better dentistry!

Stay-at-home orders are lifting!

Welcome to Smiles of Orange! As Orange County stay-at-home orders begin to lift, the information below highlights our new safety protocols following the California Department of Public Health. These new protocols are in addition to our existing, extensive, infection control protocols:

  1. Pre-appointment screening questions: We will ask a series of questions before your appointment over the phone or via email.
  2. Taking your temperature: Before entering the treatment room to check for fever. Everyone, including employees, will be screened with a health questionnaire and forehead temperature reading daily.
  3. Check-in: Text or call us when you arrive and wait in your car. We are limiting the number of people in our reception area and have removed magazines.
  4. Face masks: Each person in the office will be required to wear a mask (including us), our team will let you know when to remove the mask for your appointment.
  5. Parents & Guardians: We ask that only one guardian attend the appointment with their dependent.
  6. We have new medical-grade HEPA air filtration units in every treatment area and throughout the office!
  7. Once in the operatory we will ask you to pre-rinse with a hydrogen peroxide-based rinse to lower the pathogens in your mouth.
  8. We will continue to use high speed suctioning and isolation tools when generating aerosols (Purevac HVE, DryShield, Rubber Dams)
  9. We will have additional PPE including hair coverings, long jackets, faceshields and N95 or higher masks

We are committed to keeping you safe and healthy! We anticipate resuming regular hygiene visits by May 26, 2020 and are rescheduling many patients that we had to cancel due to the closure. Thank you for your patience as we reach out. We can’t wait to see you!
